Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you give us, and what we do not do with it.
Last updated 9 September 2026
This policy explains how Nimbu Global Pty Ltd (ABN 68 642 716 452), trading as Nimbu Shield, handles personal information collected through www.nimbuglobal.com.
We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where you contact us from outside Australia, we apply this policy to your information regardless of where you are.
The short version. The only information we collect is what you type into the enquiry form. We use it to answer your enquiry. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and there are no tracking cookies or analytics on this site.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form we collect the fields you complete:
| Field | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| Full name | So we know who we are replying to. |
| Role or rank | Optional. Helps us pitch the reply at the right level. |
| Organisation | To understand the requirement in context. |
| Country | To understand the operating environment. |
| Email address | To reply to you. |
| Phone number | Optional. Only used if you would rather we called. |
| Mission and engagement type | Optional. Helps us route the enquiry. |
| Outline of the requirement | The substance of what you are asking about. |
Our web server also keeps standard access logs, which record IP addresses, the pages requested and the time of the request. These are generated by the hosting platform for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
What we do not collect
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics or equivalent on this site.
- No advertising or tracking pixels. No third party is watching your visit.
- No tracking cookies. See our cookie statement.
- No third-party fonts. Typefaces are served from this domain, so no font provider receives your IP address.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act, and we ask that you do not include classified, operationally sensitive or personally sensitive material in the enquiry form. If you need to discuss something of that nature, contact us and we will agree an appropriate channel first.
How we use it
We use what you submit to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of our dealings with you. We may contact you about the enquiry you raised. We do not add you to a mailing list from a form submission, and we do not send marketing you have not asked for.
Who else touches it
We do not sell or rent personal information. It is disclosed only to the service providers who make the site and our email work:
| Provider | Role and location |
|---|---|
| Website hosting | Serves this site and holds the server access logs. |
| SMTP2GO | Delivers the enquiry email from the website to our inbox. Enquiry content passes through their systems in transit and is retained briefly in their sending logs. |
| Microsoft 365 | Our email and document platform, where the enquiry is received and stored. |
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By submitting the form you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle information to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to maintain a record of our business dealings, then reviewed and deleted when no longer required. Where the enquiry leads to an engagement, records are kept for the period required by Australian tax and corporations law, which is generally seven years.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, and the enquiry is transmitted to our inbox over an authenticated, encrypted connection. Access to the receiving mailbox is restricted and protected by multi-factor authentication.
No system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong, out of date or incomplete.
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
Email enquiries@nimbuglobal.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. There is no charge for making a request.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at enquiries@nimbuglobal.com so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually.
